Marion County Recycling & Litter Prevention’s annual Eco-Art Show won statewide recognition from Keep Ohio Beautiful in 2011 and 2015. November 16, 2018 will mark the tenth anniversary of this popular community event at Marion’s Historic Palace Theatre.
The Ohio Environmental Council presented Angela Carbetta, MCRLP Director with honorable mention for the “Glass Act” project.
In 2013 Marion County Recycling & Litter Prevention Director Angela Carbetta won the prestigious Athena Award from Marion Area Women’s Business Council.
The Glass Packaging Institute awarded Marion County Recycling & Litter Prevention’s “Glass Act” bar glass recycling program the National Friends of Glass Award in 2011.
On March 20, 2014 Keep Marion County Beautiful became an officially certified affiliate of Keep America Beautiful.
